I would not like to be her husband, or kids. maybe not even work with her. Some people just don't belong in a service- related job.
sweezly1 Thanks this. -
She'll be back... if for nothing else, than to correct my use of a possible incorrect gender.
A criminal always returns to the scene of the crime.sweezly1 and kickin chicken Thank this. -
Wish this guy would stick around. He was funny!
-
He'll be back. No doubt his cohorts will too. I can just picture him at the fuel desk telling his co-workers how he set them dumb ### truckers straight. He did make some good points, but ####, if you hate your job that badly why would you stay there for 10 years?
bullhaulerswife and sweezly1 Thank this. -
I considered closing this thread, due to the derogatory tone of the posts. But then, you, our drivers and our valued members here would not be able to respond or vent on some of the issues that the OP has pointed out.
There's only one reason someone would do a drive by post like this. They wanted to give their opinion and hear no one elses. Well, anyone that's been on the road for any amount of time, knows that the encounters at the fuel desks can be just as bad as dealing with an impatient DM or dispatcher.
I may not drive, but I do go in when my husband fuels, and the attitude of some of the people behind the fuel desks can ruin a persons day. Some intentionally make you feel unimportant, and honestly could care less about their job. Those are the places that we don't go back.
And to the OP, if your charging, or requiring that someone purchase something to park, you are contributing to the fact that there are less and less safe places for our drivers to park. I don't condone it, and should we happen upon your "truckstop" as you call it, we will be moving right across that street to the TA. You don't want our business bad enough if your going to charge tired drivers to pay to park. You get to go home to your bed, they don't.
I'd better quit here, because I could get myself in trouble, and have to give myself an infraction.
kickin chicken, 25(2)+2, sfs001 and 4 others Thank this. -
i work at a truckstop also.everything he said is true,i see it everyday.i'm not saying all drivers are like this, but there are to many that are.
where i work our clerks are friendly and easy to get along with, many drivers leave laughing because of good conversation and bs.
take a good look around the next time you fuel,i'll bet you'll see a lot of what the OP mentioned. -
Yes but the REAL question is....Will we EVER get over you being gone??
bullhaulerswife Thanks this. -
I'm over it.... -
No your not! Deep down inside your sobbing like a baby!
