Hey guys am wondering if any of you have any leads on companies hiring owner ops? Am in the central valley in California though Ive looked for one in the LA area as well that would let me head that way empty do a local load then head back north loaded. Thanks anything helps

That might be a tough one to get your foot in the door. A lot of carriers are reluctant to hire an O/O with no track record. Have you tried calling some of companies that are already doing this and asking them for some advice?

Ive heard roughly 500 under their info and insurance with their trailer. Ive been looking for that very thing. There was a smaller company that I can't seem to find that was called something like 5 kings out of LA that would be willing to work with me

Hiring of owner ops in California has been "suspended indefinitely" by quite a few carriers as the new AB5 standard goes into effect.

There's guys I see with some really nice hoods doing tanker chemicals and bulk containers on the Dana trailers in Phoenix.
There's some doing fuel, but not as many. -

I know one a couple owner ops who haul fuel…They don’t want to say much because it’s easy to
Loose Loads to bigger companies but hauling in your own rig has got to be the ####! -
I’ve been hauling fuel for 6yrs, owner operator only for 2 months hauling fuel. Your best plan would be to get on with a company for 3 to 6 months as a company driver and get carded at all the racks that’s what takes the most time and that is what most companies need you to have.
