My two brokers have CM870’s. They were changing more broken studs on two than I was on 5 Cats. They both have some crazy Borg-Warner fixed geometry turbo on them now. PDI stage 2 tune and that turbo they actually run pretty good. My Cats get away from them but a factory set Signature 600 watches them drive away. And neither one has broken any studs since the turbos were changed.

    God prefers Diesels Thanks this.

Thanks for the education! This has been one of the worst jobs ever. Parts not available, in stock, no cores to build injectors, lost in the mail, reman cam followers with the levers upside down, etc.
Then when I get to the end where are my manifold bolts? I called the guy and he said I told you they were not available. I was upset and put regular bolts in it.
All though my wife says I cannot remember anything, maybe half true, I have notes on every part ordered. From who date and time. If they could not supply it a line is drawn through it and it goes to another person and company. He is lying! How about the guy that sent me the wrong thermostats and I gave him the part number. It has been a nightmare.
Waiting on bolts now. Thanks again! KIMG0659.JPG

It continues: I ordered a set of Cummins bolts from a dealer. They showed up for $42 drop ship, 6 of them. I called and found they come in sets of six. Was told maybe a set is for each manifold. Explained there are 3 manifolds, 4 bolts each.

We have one customer with a mechanical n14 on a chipper.
They run great & sound awesome. It's a pain getting quality parts but it'll be nice
to hear it run. After all the frustration that'll put a smile on your face.
