My truck is governed at 75 on cruise, 80 on pedal, I also have the adaptive cruise, I run states with primarily higher limits, and hence we're gov. higher, how hard I push it depends on my mood and what I'm hauling (private chassis vs pool chassis and loaded vs empty) few weeks ago, we were running Denver to Twin Falls, Id, on a tight schedule, as much as possible my foot was buried in it, but coming back it was more relaxed and I ran 75, the last two weeks I've been running to SLC and back, heading over loaded we've been running 65/70 mph going across I 70, but coming back across I 80 running 75 with the occasional bursts of 80 mph. Bull racks and O/O are the only one's I worry about passing me, but one advantage to the higher speed is dealing with packs of gov. trucks, few weeks back, coming back from Idaho, outside Wamsutter, Wyo, caught up to a pack of 10 trucks, all gov. between 64 and 68 mph, the traffic jam they created as they all jockeyed to get around one another was stupid, and dangerous. I hung back for a while, but eventually saw an opening start to appear and quickly jumped out and got around them as quickly as I could, before they all bunched back up again. It's also nice when dealing with packs of RV's.
