The one guy just stopped a few seconds before the truck hit. Wonder why he didn't run the other way?

look at the poor guy walking across, he's like a deer caught in the headlights, he just dead stops and watches as the truck crashes into the bridge and it collapses onto him.

I noticed that too. I probably would have ran so fast I would have ran out of my shoes and still keep running

I agree to, I drove dump for a summer 2 years ago and drive a dump on slow days at my current job. How one can forget to put your box down is beyond me, obviously doesnt need to be behind the wheel of a big truck. You can tell when you're driving to if your box is up, cause when I dump I usually start to pull away while lowering the box and you can feel the truck sway a little. Now how he made it from where ever he dumped to a major road way is unreal. Hope the people on that bridge made it out ok and hope that driver doesnt drive anything commercial anymore.

That doesnt mean much. Sure its hazardous but some hazmat loads would be nearly impossible to screw up with. Good example, one time I hauled 40,000 lb of wet car batteries + 4000lb of sulfuric acid...in very small plastic containers. When I picked up the load I opened the trailer to inspect it, and you know what i saw? The load was only 8 inches off the floor...including the pallets. Properly braced and secured with properly placed and nailed toe boards. Sure, it's nasty stuff but to release any amount of it, you'd have to roll the truck....and if you roll a truck with cargo that low to the floor...........

i remember i took this load down the PA turnpike, through the tunnels and all (PA tunnels are legal for class 8 corrosives as long as its not in a tanker), and i had a guy pass me in the no passing zone....i made a ######## comment on the CB and got back....."I aint gonna stay behind you! you're haulin ACID!!!" rofl...

it seems like placarded loads make 4 wheelers drive even WORSE around you..
