Jeez a lou..
Makes me feel old, but #2 was ~74 cents, & regular 87 octane was 98 cents a gallon when I started driving in '99..
Makes me want to puke now every time I fuel up anything. Sad part is, there's plenty oil on this planet to go round, & the powers that be are just toying with us..

Follow up. That one I didn't want, I put the app in and talked to the guy. Drive test tomorrow, start 7/'5/2022 if (when) it goes well. Should be the typically boring kind of work I was trying to avoid, but it gives me money, exercise of some sort, seat time and...if he can swing it, more local flatbed work so I can at least work that back into my exercise routine.
I talked to him last year before I had that bad gout attack and he's good people, so it won't be so bad, but I already let him know I can't guarantee long time, if I can get back into the OTR gig.
But let's see how the money racks up...maybe I'll change miy mind, since it is hourly paid.
Maybe I can save up for when/if truck and fuel prices come back into normal levels...I can buy my own.

Sad that the pump price of #2 wouldn't even cover the tax alone now in PA.cke, PoleCrusher, IH9300SBA and 6 others Thank this.

I stopped at the only pump in town that has red fuel for the tractors- $6.10.
Headed home the TomCat I fuel green at was $5.99.
!#@$*$%&!!!!!!!
Some days I think someone [points up] does stuff to me just for a laugh.cke, PoleCrusher, jamespmack and 8 others Thank this. -
Prices spiked some time after Desert Storm (92?) and the local Exxon was most expensive in town with premium at $1.45. I remember thinking that you'd have to be just plain crazy to pay that kind of money - over $20 to fill up? No thanks!cke, PoleCrusher, kwswan and 8 others Thank this.
