Those were the best places. $50 worth of cash fuel you’d usually leave with a sandwich, coffee and about 75’ of S+H stamps.

Wow, $150 & torsion bar.. Did ya keep the fuel check in your back pocket for extra seat cushion.!? Lol :D

Obviously I wasn't around, but you & a few others here lived it. Like to look to those days & think dang, that's when truck'n was truck'n.! But I only see one side of the coin..

I like some modern conveniences such as the super slab, gps, cell phone, early electronic fuel injection, (circa '88-'98) air ride, air conditioning. Guess what I'm driving at is, what was the pinnacle years of truck'n for you? (Anyone can jump in & say your favorite years truck'n & why)
I know your doing well, & enjoying the current lowboy operation, but other than right now..

That monster 350 horse Cummins I'm pack'n might get me into trouble. Maybe I ought a back er down to something like this ole 290.? Lol

If I recall correctly dads first air ride truck was about 2002. Hard to stop old habits. His 74 K100 was NT400, reworked to NTA420 small cam on torsion bar. Got tired of breaking them and put Reyco spring ride on it.

Purple eh, Sandy’s? I think that set would probably go well over $300k. I looked at replacing my modular 2+3+2 three years ago and it almost touched $300k with a 26’ platform then.

They’ve got it all and you can get your kicks, under the big red ball at the ‘76. And we thought we came way ahead with prepaid long distance cards and phones at the tables in the restaurant.

    LOL!
I forgot about the S&H green stamps. Shoot I still have stuff I got with them. On the weekends we use the waffle iron. I also still use the floor scrubber, can't kill the cute little thing.
