I just flip switches while I'm driving and giggle hysterically. I like the clicking sounds.

There is some truth to this however its best to only use the diff locks at lower speeds of less than < 35 mph going up steep inclines or in the snow, for extra traction, in particular on dirt roads, I use the diff lock all the time when I load out of the Iron Ore Stock yards towing 131.5 metric tonnes of ore so I use this while on the dirt surface once I'm mobile and up to speed on the paved road I will flick it off. So no while on the highway at higher speeds definitely switch it off. Which is what I think hes doing maybe just forgetting to flick it off.

If it’s a newer truck many models won’t allow diff lock in high range or side back up lights for that matter.

omg this board is to much.

That's exactly the attitude I saw in another thread, on cb's, saying yes ground the magnetic to the body and groundstrap the tranny to the frame and ground this to that and that to the other ..... coffee went everywhere holy moly.

So I cleaned the coffee and signed up!

As for the thread, I'm with ^that one^.

I don't know about the semi's you folks run, but on my '22 'shaker M2-106, if the rear is locked while on solid ground, and a tight turn is made, you'll darn sure feel the rear end clunking against itself.

Its nothing uncommon that I have to keep my finger on the switch while traversing on the Rez - I'm just not into tearing a rig all to hell - tight turns with alternating hard rock to sand pit, as well as interlaced, meaning sand on one side rock on the other , all the while hard steer left & right as far as the gear box will go. I love it!

Where do drivers come up with this stuff? If you aren't spinning tires you're seeing no benefit to any locks. PDL or diff. All you're doing is causing stress on expensive parts.
