Pre lube it. Put clean oil into the oil supply till it runs out the drain side. If VGT, you've got some lessons coming.

 

i have changed many of them . Worst scenario is buying center section of exhaust manifold. its around $500. Do not use wd40 on bolts, use Kimball's Torq CB.. Let us know how many bolts you have cut inside. Using flame torch maybe usefull ..

 

its not a vgt turbo

 

What are some things u run into when replacing vgt turbo?

 

sometimes you need to adjust the rod like on series 60 14L engines... nothing hard..

 

here is the worst scenario of turbo replacement of DD15. One of behind bolts was cut. DD 13 is similar..
