I like my present Job delivering pallets of sod for a sod farm.
Here are some of the things I like about it. I get paid by the hour,
any delays and I just text my dispatcher. Unlike working for big
companies, if someone has a problem with how I drive or deliver,
I always get to tell my side.
I start work early every morning, and am home every night which
is best for ME. I like pulling a flatbed with piggyback (forklift), I enjoy
driving the forklift, its an easy break from the truck.
I get to choose my routes for the most part. There is plenty I
don't like about my job but have been doing it since 2007
because I get to talk to the owner every week, and I trust
and admire him, even if I disagree with some of the ways
he runs things.rockeee Thanks this. -
My paychecks are the best that I have ever had, and it's not even close. I enjoy the fact that I can basically set my own schedule. I am a rookie driver, and I am very blessed to be with a smallish company that takes care of its drivers. I can refuse any load that I just don't want to run. (Only refused one so far because I just couldn't get it there in the time required.)
I love being able to see parts of the country that I had never seen until this year.
I love the fact that I am not micromanaged and have every opportunity to succeed or fail based on my own decisions. 95% of the time I am making a sound decision that gets the load delivered on time and safely. I have not yet had a load delivered unsafely, and I will never make a conscious decision to do it.
I love greeting people with a smile on my face because I am enjoying life. -
Helping folks get the stuff they need makes me happy. Serving our Country.
