My defroster works just fine and it blows cool air on the feet but with the A/C blowing through the front vents - its not cold. I checked and it seems like my evap line may be freezing. what can I do next?

Let some gas out of it. If it’s freezing up it may just be over-charged. I started leaving my W900’s down an oz or oz and a half from the 2lb spec. They still blow cold but quit freezing up and blowing compressors off themselves every year.

Looks like I just needed to add Freon. Also did a computer reset.

If you're getting adequately cold air out of all other vents except for the dash vents then I'd start checking the blend doors/actuators.
