I Think "TEXTING WHILE DRIVING" will be easy to Prove in Court! The Prosecuting Attorney will Subpoena your Cell Phone Records,Logbook, anything with a Date and Time. If they find a "Date and Time Match" . Its Game Over! "Checkmate"......Fines,Lawsuits,Jailtime!

That would be a very convenient "in" to comb peoples' phones for all sorts of things. Yeah, they could maybe limit their search to 'date and time', but I doubt it'd stay that way long.

how are they going to enforce it, by using high flying stealth texting drones or by helicopter snipers?

well guess what we just went in to a new phase of socialism. 1 did it and got caught so now we all have to suffer. I don't like to text while driving either but WTF can the federal gov't not stay out of state rights anymore???? Obama and his cronies want to control everything. Do all of us a favor and vote anyone who is in office now out and bring in new blood. I don't care what party but the ones there now haven't done anything for us. So out with old in with the new!! They don't work well they lose their jobs next time around. We have to take back our country!!! You don't vote!!! Don't complain its your job to get someone up there who listens to you!!!!!

When i worked at walmart there was this stupid chick that texted all the time. One time she was texting and walking (she was off duty) with her face buried in the phone, and RAN INTO ME. Thank god she doesnt have a car because I guarantee you she would text and drive and run into EVERYTHING. is it not OBVIOUS that if youre going to text and....do anything else....you need to look UP....most of the time....? if you have a good phone you dont need to look down much at all for it. Mine has a full QWERTY keyboard.

Totally agree with you, and FYI i am posting this while I am driving down the highway. JUST KIDDING about that last part! i'm not stupid! But, yeah. Why can't states regulate this? Also, I point out: Several states ban talking on handheld cellphones while driving. Common sense dictates that this should include texting. If the law isn't vague enough to include it, it should be straight forward to amend it....

That is STUPID. I will not own a phone that does that. It took me days to decide WHY i felt that way, and then I realized: What if im NOT the driver? Why can't i text from the passenger seat? What is wrong with that? What if i'm on a bus? What if i'm walking? What if i'm drunk and cant keep my body still even though im sitting down? When im drunk i start typing really badly. Maybe it could detect that.

    1. Make gearkeepers mandatory for CBs. Much safer. ;)
    2. I change CDs while im driving. Uh oh!!!

Not totally sure what you mean but whats wrong with a phone with GPS? You dont have to use it. You're not freaked out about big brother are you? GPS is just a fancy global triangulation system. Connects to three sattelites that send it a timestamp, and calculates how long it takes them to send that, and that shows where you are.

BUT that works with any radio signal. Any time you key up your CB, you can be located. Non GPS cell phones can be tracked via cell tower communication....

and my GPS works when im moving. :) had to turn off safe mode.
