in the job market of trucking industry, you cant deny a job offer once you accepted it?

    So I denied CR England's offer. And their recruiter was mad and called me saying he will never want to talk to me again. I did some research on that company, everything is bad about them and found nothing good about them. Unlike Swift or Roehl, I can find both good and bad things about the companies. And I didn't sign any of their papers.
    I was in the warehouse industry for about ten years, in that industry it's normal to deny an offer or leave the company after starting few days later. The employers might be unhappy but it's normal. It might affect your future application but it's not a red flag on you.
    I dont care about CR England, but the thing is I will make a decision between Swift and Roehl. I dont want the same thing to happen. What should i do? Should I tell them nothing is guaranteed? the recruiters supposed to know this stuff.

    Don't mention anything about CR England.
    Just answer any questions from a recruiter in brief form and don't elaborate on anything that isn't specifically asked.
    You're not obligated to any job offer unless you sign a contract for schooling and show up for orientation.

    He's just mad. Nothing he can do about it. A lot of the high-turnover places pay recruiters by volume, not salary. That's why they will tell you whatever they need in order to get you in the door.

    Just forget you even spoke to anyone there, as nothing negative will ever come of it... rather something positive: You weren't sucked in, swindled, and starved out.

    Tell the CR England recruiter you're making the decision based on YouTube videos from drivers that work there.
    Those guys doing rap music representing CR England is a good reason to not work there.

    The only time you cannot simply walk away, is either if you signed a contract, or you are inside of a drug testing center.

    The contract one is easy just see if whatever penalties are assessed or was walking away from if it's already signed.

    The drug testing center is the gotcha. If you are inside a drug testing center you have to complete the process or it will be marked as a refusal and it will go on your record even though you're not officially employed because it is a pre-employment drug screening which has its own special regulations. Now what you can do, is finish the drug screening process, and then turn in all of your paperwork. Once you turn in the paperwork to the company you could then tell them you're not going to accept the offer.
