Hopefully that was not @TooTiredToTalk. After her last postings, she sounded disturbed enough to get involved in something like that.

Ford Ranchero, had to be doing 70mph when he went by me as I was outside the truck as the crew was in the process of moving the mill to the other lane. Glancing blow off the broom blade sent him into a 4 wheel drift and hit the mill like a ton of bricks. Driver ended up under the machine and didn't make it, by the Grace of God nobody else hurt. 20220714_152345.jpg 20220714_152352.jpg 20220714_152554.jpg

That is sad. Only takes one moment of stupidity or carelessness to end a life and spread sorrow to family and friends. Life is precious. Be careful.

Before my time, but very neat and appreciate you sharing.

I know GM had uni mounts in the 50's was it just them, or did others use them?

I don't know for sure but this was on my 96 IHC 9200 with the 5 hole IHC aluminum wheels. The beads can wear out and it is an art to rebuild them. Most shops scrap wheels when the beads wear out but a good machinist can rebuild them. those IHC wheels were $475 CDN and I paid $175 for the rebuilds. This was in 2003 or so.

I took your original post way different. My fault. Yea I know those wheels. I worked for Ih around then. They also didn't put plastic between them and drum from most trucks. They rotted bad on the rim to hub surface. Nice looking wheels.
