Anyone ever take a passenger in a Port? I always drop my passenger at a motel but was wondering if anyone has done it. I was thinking they would never know unless they are scanning the sleeper with infrared or something.

Had one of our drivers with Tyson food do that and got fired on the spot.He had his 11 year old with him and hide him in the bunk and got spot checked. This was at Virginian Beach and he had to get a rental car to back to IL.
Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
Good to know, thanks.

And No. That's N. O.
You don't take anyone into a port sleeper or not, that only makes it worse. You the driver is responsible for making sure no one that does not belong gets onto your rig to enter a port. Times have changed since 9-11, and don't think they wont fire you for it.Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
Not to mention if any accident happens, they dont find a mangled or burned body in your truck. cause they dragged your unconscious one out and didnt check sleeper.

Saw a Werner driver have to boot co driver out at guard shack due to no twic card in the port of Houston .. he actually called the Marshal out and they had a big fight about interrupting his sleep it's was delaying everyone at the gate .. I don't think I'd try to sneak someone in personally

Can two co drivers... Both with twic card.. can enter to the port? Thank you

Some ports or military type bases will allow it but that person needs to be cleared just like you
Others don’t but may have a waiting room they can stay at while you go in
Any order I’ve received that does not allow this has always been listed on the bol or paperwork sent to me prior arriving
You should be able to get that info from your dispatch or agent who booked you the load -
Port Newark uses the sealink card.
The individaal TWIC is linked to it BUT 'trainees' with a TWIC are admitted with a Sealinked driver.
