I will never understand...
Why is it that with these forums, threads. That somebody always has to jump in and try to put somebody else down, the company, or whatever. This is the one thread that you rarely find anybody talking trash, saying somebody or something is better or worse than what is already there. But always going to have somebody just try to jump in and stir things up. I guess I just don't get it. Some folks are happy with where they are at, or what they are doing, but some aren't and have to try to run them down. There are so many threads where the unhappy can go to air their complaints to the world, and so few where it is honest, sometimes funny, or even a little picking in fun, but there always has to be somebody to jump in and pee on somebody elses parade. Just don't get it.trucker43, dabs and Jarhed1964 Thank this. -
In all your 2 years of experience, you never had to wait for a load? As others have stated, this is the slow time for the entire industry. Just the way it is.dabs, Jarhed1964, Jarbo and 2 others Thank this.

Negativism breeds negativism, which breeds nothing.
dabs and BigCountryChef Thank this. -
As you know JCT does not hire just anyone. If you watch it's the same guys that go away and then come back later. They get regected and want someone else to blame.
The only reason thay come back is to see if anyone will join their little poor me party cuz they have a crappy job. Have you ever noticed that no one on this thread in over a year has left the company???? Or noticed no one that has anything bad to say about the company has actually worked here??
They are idiots and prove it every time they come back.dabs, Alanp613, mustang970 and 3 others Thank this. -
lol. "all of your 2 years"
poor kid doesn't know the first thing about trucking. Most of us have backed more miles than he's driven forward!dabs, Alanp613, BigCountryChef and 1 other person Thank this. -
Mustang and Jabro well said.
this is my thoughts from another post of mine
I have been a manager in the food service industry for the past 10 years.Due to changes in the industry and my own personal decision I have left and am in the process of getting my CDL. The thing that I have learned is that no mater what company you go to (food service) you have the same people just different face and names, they are the same. Hard workers that come in no matter what do the job and are happy. Then you have the scamers the one that always have some reason why the job can not be done or it is someone Else fault why it can not be done can not take responsibility for their own action. Then there is the __it stirrers that always complain about what someone Else is doing or not doing or that the higher ups are not fair and are out to screw the employee. I feel that this is in all industries not just food service. So one should ask themselves what kind of worker are you and what do you need to improve the become the hard worker and temper the other two attributes Just my thought on thingmustang970, fr8tshkr, dabs and 1 other person Thank this. -
See then you have folks like Big Chief here.
He wants to get into the industry. He is new to it, but is willing to put the ole nose the the grindstone, give it the ole college try. Wants to work hard, and get something in return.
You have the folks like the ones from this thread, that for whatever reason are in the biz, some for the love of it, some for the independence, whatever. Most seem to be "Hands", the type that will give you a ribbing just for fun, but will help you out of a jam.
Big Chief reads this forum, learns from drivers like these, in time, he becomes a "hand", over time we have more "Hands" driving trucks, more real truckers, not a mess of steering wheel holders that just want to trash talk, or trash what used to be a industry that many looked up to.
I guess that is just Pride, Pride in yourself, your Job, Your Company, your Equipment, etc.
To those that have this in them, Well I give a hearty thumbs up. And to those that don't, there are plenty of your own kind to hang out with.
Gotta go shovel the snow...
You "Hands" be careful, and well those "steering wheel holders" too. -
Well said Chef......
There are way too many "WITFM's" out there. You know the "what's in it for me" people. I mean there are good and bad in every line of work not just the trucking company. Corporate America is the worst and I have had enough of it. One thing taught to me by Father when I was young was work ethic. You may not have the best job - but be the best at it no matter what. I have stuck by that for most of my career and it's always worked for me. However, this day and age we are dealing with more people who expect more, yet offer much less of themselves in return.
I could pass out $100.00 bills to each employee at the end of the day, but some would still complain because it wasnt a brand new bill! -
Well said! By all.
Btw, my wife hands me new bills everyday!
Be safe everyone, and have fun out there today.BigCountryChef and Alanp613 Thank this.
