T800 Radiator replacement recommendations?

Use a heavy non petroleum degreaser on your A/C condenser and your CAC, soak for 20 to 30 min and reverse flush them with garden hose pressure. It is hard to believe that road scum and bug guts coating them will slow the airflow so much but it will.
Consider building a flushing nozzle by soldering a 24" or 30" piece of 3/8"copper tubing to a female hose connector with the end closed and a 1/4" hole on the side near the end.

 

Those strips on the side of the rad frame missing is enough to overheat a W900L.

 

See it happen all the time with equipment. Easier to pull air thru the gaps than it is thru the radiator.

Might not be much, but once you get the missing strips replaced, try adding a pair of Tees to the heater shutoff. Route the shutoff water through a Prius Inverter Cooler (it's like a small radiator itself) mounted low in front of the condenser.

I really am not sure if it will help an N14, but the heavy little Sprinters in the van life crowd have recently discovered this trick that allows them to climb grades in the older models without backing out of the throttle and without overheating. The inverter cooler has basically a heater hose sized inlet and outlet, making the installation a breeze. Its only about 1/4 of the size of a standard car's radiator, though, therefore it just might not be enough to even make a difference on a 14L engine.

Another thought is the oil... Maybe mount a large oil cooler in front instead? Cooler oil = less heat load on the cooling system itself.

 

You can also add a 5 gallon air tank plumb It coming from the back of the block then to the water pump. Cheap trick that all the guys that ran hopped up 855’s used. It’s not dramatic but will cool it about 10-15 degrees.
