walmart in several areas that used to allow truck to park to shop, now has started ticketing and towing.
their reason behind this is truckers leave their trash, pissjugs, ect. they dont realize to make money, u cant be buying groceries from truckstops.
walmart is getting to be like a company that only wants us to deliver their product and get off their property.
digital logs on trucks are not going to make things easier. on top of all that states like illinois are serving tickets for parking in closed down businesses, on ramps, or on roadsides. where in the hell they expect us to park? they dont want us to drive illegaly, but they dont want to provide us parking. if walmart keeps doing this they might have trouble getting trucks to haul their freight.
im sick of dealing with walmart and their bull crap, but theirs no one that will stand togeather to prove that point to them. i hope this csa 2010 screws em over, making it hard to move their freight.

I'm a Covenant/ Walmart dedicated driver. after dlvering their load at a DC, bobtailed to closest supercenter for my 10 hr breake. I think their store here doesn't want 18 wheelers overnight... Will go back to WM DC tomorrow morning to get my mpt trailer. Hopefully nobody here will complain about me idling tonight. It's 21 F...

The best thing you need to do then is the next load that you get dispatched on that has anything to do with and or for any product that will end up in a Walmart store is to tell your dispatcher that you refuse to haul it, because Walmart does not like having to pickup your trash, pissjugs etc. on their parking lot. Get a life, growup, and learn how to act like the proffesional you want to be treated as!!

I know things are a little different out here on the "left coast". I'm in wal-marts all the time with this truck. only had one manager ask me what I was doing,(picking up a money gram) said no problem and that if I needed to park for more than an hour if I would mind pulling over out of the way. I NEVER park at a wally world overnite, seems silly to me. they're not a truck stop and as other posts have said, we shot ourselves in the foot at a lot of places, leaving trash and such all over the lot. can't blame them.

so let me see if I get you correct, you ##### about drivers but then you ##### about Wal-mart. Which is it, is it Wal-Marts fault for banning trucks since the only trucks the encounter are the pigs, or should Wal-Mart just suck it up and let their lots look like landfills. -
I deliverd at a US Foodsservice in Okie City Monday, and their was a driver with a one gallon urine jug slowly emptying as people walk by, trying to make sure no one was watching ( outside of the oodles of cameras on their property). I waited till he was done and walked over to tell him what a piece of crap he was. Seriously, how hard is it to walk your fat, smelly behind into the breakroom and handle your business the right way? I also notified the receiving dept, not sure if they did anything. Sometimes its unavoidable, but there's a time and a place, and around anything food related emptying your urine jug is not the time or place. Who's hungry? -
Ok, there are times when you have to go in a bottle. But a 1 gallon jug? You make it sond like it was FULL too. That's nasty. That guy obviously made a habit of this.
I see all the time where people dump huge bags full of piss bottles.
I dont get this whole super trucker mentality. It takes two seconds to pull over on the side of the highway and go, if you have to go that bad. Why do it while you're driving unless you have to? I mean, if its a two lane road with no shoulder and you're going to piss your pants, thats one thing. But these guys do it for no reason at all. -
I have found a few Wal-Marts that are truck friendly: Jasper, Tn. I-24 just past Monteagle. Clarksville, Ar I-40 exit 64 or 63. Newnan, Ga exit 47. My brother and sister in law and myself park our bob tails there over night when we deliver to and pick up at Cargill. I can't blame Wal-Mart for being p**ed at drivers who dump their trash and other assorted items on their lots.
I use the trash cans to throw my trash away, they are not decorations. As for the idiots who run over signs and landscaping, man up and report what you did to store manager.
The sins of a few, shall punish the many.

I don't see what the problem is. Wally werld is a store, not a truckstop. I have parked there several times on the weekends while bobtail. Usually if one truck is there, others are sure to follow quick. Soon there is no parking for the customers. Not to mention most drivers are pigs. They leave behind trash and piss in the parking lots. Which frickin wreaks! The only complaint that I really have is, I wish they would tell the RV crowd the same thing. Sometimes it looks like a frickin campground there on the weekends.

Maybe this wouldn't be a problem if more "city planers" made more space for trucks to park? Or if customers would allow overnight parking on their massive yards?
I'm just sayin,,,
