I have a question about my instrument cluster on my 1999 freightliner century. I have a issue where my entire cluster goes blank and the only the voltage meter works the problem comes and goes. The display, the buzzer, speedo, tach, fuel, etc doesn't work. I wanted to know if I purchased a used cluster with less gauges my cluster has a total of 13 gauges can I expand the cluster. If there is anyone that knows of a company that repairs the century cluster. I also found a used cluster with 14 gauges and the beginning letters in the vin are very similar would it work or where can go to check if it would work any help on any situation would be appreciated

The vins can be one apart and not work if same year same engine pretty good chance it will work but before I changed out cluster I would make sure its not just a loose connection and at least look at the connections and circuit board and put back together with die electric grease

I have taken the cluster apart and checked all connections nothing loose or burnt out. I remobved a cluster from my friends 05 Coronado and it worked fine. That's why I trying to see if i can use another icu out of another tractor tractor have mine repaired

Did you fix that problem? I’m having the same issue.

My display has not worked in my 2000 Century for 8 years. Today it came on for the first time in a long time and actually stayed on. The only thing is half the display is gibberish!
Does anyone have any idea where the screen gets is data and or why the display is showing random stuff. -
little info

so throw away old cluster and retrofit cascadia's cluster in your truck -
I didn't know that was possible.
I would hate to get rid of the entire cluster.
All 14 Guages work fine.
It's just the center display screen shows scrambled letters.
Is it difficult to retrofit the Cascadia into my CL120 ? Can I just swap the screen?
Any advice you have I'll read. Thank you
