Where is everyone #5

That's a good question. When I was hauling fuel and working nights, 2 beers with breakfast when I got home was the routine. I figured everyone else could have theirs when they got home from work so it made sense, not to everyone, but to me it did. Anyways, beer and breakfast food do go very well together, and it's always 5pm somewhere.

 

Exactly what I did when I was on thirds. Or grab a six pack, mow my lawn. Then shower and sleep.

One morning I hit the local gas station about 7 am. Got a six pack of tall boys and a newspaper. Now this was a village of 600ish, one stop light. New girl was working. I did not stop at dinner, I was going 4 miles home. As I paid, I told her I was heading to work. She asked "What do you do". I said "school bus driver". Turned and walked out.

Next time I stopped in the older ladys had to tell me with tears it took them 2 hours to calm her down and not allow her to call state patrol. Explaining I worked nights and was a village fire fighter. And kinda a sob that was a good time.

I'm dying laughing typing this one.

Hey man it's really good to hear your wife is back home. Sorry I missed it if you updated earlier, but it's good news anyhow.

 

Used to work with a fellow named Albert. Alberts family owned a Mexican restaurant. Abuela (grandma) was in back making tortillas by hand. All the Tia’s (aunts) did most of the cooking. We went every work day for breakfast. Big plate of
huevos de rancho (ranch eggs). Fresh cooked. Beverage of choice, Tecate beer.

 

Thanks man I appreciate it. They literally gave her a shot in the butt of steroids and some other things, and it seemed to help. She has a doctors appointment tomorrow to hopefully see what’s causing all of it.

 

I try my hardest every single day!

 

Got so hungry reading this we pulled out a tri-tip and got some corn on the cob in the pot as we speak
