I was over the road about three years ago and I'm trying to get back into it, what's my best strategy?

Get a refresher course or try small companies, you will never get on with a big company without going back through the training. Basically in the insurance companies eyes you are a newb.

See, you got out of it 3 years ago with the intention of never coming back, right? But, as you can see, it got into your blood and you will do anything to pick up from where you left off. You may as well consider yourself brand new in the industry and start clawing yourself up that proverbial ladder.
