Is science meant to be questioned? Yes and no. Educated questions are asked to come to logical conclusions. The method of scientifically analyzing a matter is not meant to be questioned. What I mean by that is the scientific method is proven to be trustworthy. People who doubt the findings of scientists typically fall into the latter, as opposed to the former.

Questioning something? That's pretty vague. There is so much potential in that statement for no science to have even been a part of what was questioned. Was the question scientific? Was it an intelligent question? Was it a question based on a false premise? Was the subject worth questioning?

Who is doing the questioning? What is the result of the question(s) asked? For what purpose is/are the question(s) asked? Is the person asking the question open to be corrected if the question follows a false premise? Is the question seeking knowledge or aiming to suppress knowledge?

There will be no long term psychological effects caused by the nanny systems. All you have to do is drive better and you can render them obsolete.

Sometimes, unless they're so safe driving 55 in a 70 mph zone, there's such a thing as too cautious......

Maybe, maybe not. If you get jammed up in a corner and you use the prod to try to get yourself out and that old skel just looks at, shakes her head, and comes on full steam "safer cattle" just dropped to the bottom of your preferences. ;)

Works the same way with people.
