Gidday everyone
Recently purchased a series 4 scania. 6 wheeler, 420hp. Have since found out both diff and cross locks won't engage. Ideally I'm trying to track down a wiring diagram.. It's a 2000 model.
I have since done:
-Check power at rear of switches, both have voltage, and both switches work(power goes through)
-check air pressure at solenoids(along chassis rail). Air is supplied, but not going through solenoid. Check power at solenoid. Nothing.
Trace feed wiring, goes through a small junction box, which splits wiring to each actuator and the 2 solenoids, with one larger wire going back to a large junction box at rear of truck. The wiring from solenoids/actuators is 5 core. Each wire joins to another in the box, bar the earth which is earthed in junction box. Then a 10ish core wire runs all the way back to the cab.
I haven't managed to trace it exactly into the cab. I'm hoping there is a relay to check somewhere? The 10amp fuse is good.
Thanks in advance for anybodies input

I should have mentioned, there is no power from the large 10core wire from the cab to junction box
Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
@daf105paccar do you know anything about Scania?
daf105paccar Thanks this. -
@nevesu You too.

If it is they are the original diffs, they should engage.
But if they have been changed they might not be able.
Friend off mine had his diff blow out and he replaced it with a secondhand original Scania diff that could not be engaged.
Apparently Scania has diffs that can be locked and diffs that do not have the inerts to be locked.Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
Got a little further with it. Found where the 24v feeds from the switches goes through the fire wall. So now the fault has to be between outside of cab, and rear junction boxBean Jr. Thanks this. -
Found the fault. Broken power wires between cab and chassis, where wiring flexes when cab is tipped.
Bean Jr., baha, daf105paccar and 1 other person Thank this.
