Drop the “I got screwed” thing, they did their job, adjust the brake, get it into the shop to get it inspected and if the one needs to be replaced, replace them all. Keep them greased and check them every week, it is very easy to do.

Well we’ll find out if I actually got screwed once I get a chance to check and adjust them. Never giving CA the benefit of the doubt.Another Canadian driver Thanks this.

Were the trailer brakes released or set when you suspect they backed it off? Virtually impossible to back off a slack adjuster on a brake that's set.
Quite possible the slack adjuster has failed. Law of averages. Sometimes you get a lemon part.Another Canadian driver, Big Road Skateboard, Chieftains and 1 other person Thank this. -
Released. I’m going to give it a look and measure here shortly.Another Canadian driver Thanks this.

My Reitnour is a 22 and had a bad slack. Do you know how to measure it? Shouldn't affect you too bad since it's not OOS. Usually when DOT tries to eff with you, it's an OOS using the 20% rule.
Another Canadian driver and OhNoTerry Thank this. -
It'd be nice to know what something like this does to a carrier score, since its not an OOS violation
Another Canadian driver, cke and OhNoTerry Thank this. -
That’s about my only and biggest question.Another Canadian driver Thanks this.

I had asked this same question in another thread and didnt get an answer from anyone running their own numbers...... Ive always wondered.Another Canadian driver and cke Thank this.

Safer only tracks inspection and oos, it shouldn’t show up other than inspection if it wasn’t an oos
Another Canadian driver and OhNoTerry Thank this. -
A buddy got an OOS violation in Loma back in the fall. A strap that was too frayed. Even though he had more than adequate for the load, still OOS. He put a different strap on and was allowed to leave.
Just last week a broker told him they weren't supposed to work with him because of the OOS. They did anyways. Hasn't affected him other than that, besides being pulled in frequently afterwards.Geekonthestreet, Another Canadian driver, God prefers Diesels and 1 other person Thank this.
