It is just such an odd combination, him and her and team driving.
Odd in so many ways. -
Also, they are hot and look 20 years younger. -
Good video but she needs to learn to edit. It could have been ⅓ that length.

Definitely NOT the way to do it. Obviously a rookie. All that cranking on rear box could have been eliminated by moving dolly forward a bit. Too tight to rear box. The climbing is also a no no. Doesn’t maintain three points of contact and jumping off it is a definite no go. If you’re by yourself it won’t happen that way. R&L is to blame. They’re training is all but nonexistent at least at the centers I’ve been around. Backing to rear box on an angle is also not ideal. Looks like a couple of self taught individuals that are developing bad habits that are going to get themselves hurt.
A team may get away doing it this way but an individual in a poorly lit nighttime winters yard will not. There is no obviously no systematic approach by this individual, not having a set pattern is how things get overlooked
also no check for air at rear pup, no walk around, no nothing. I hope they did more than what was on the video to check that rear box out. -
Definitely not the way to hook a set. Hitting the dolly getting it stuck under the rear trailer. I've seen people break the glad hands off doing that. Plus he was out watching her back. No reason that dolly should of been hit.
When he picked up the dolly it was right by the pintle eye. Any kind of down slope those dollys can get away from you. Good way to get your hand smashed. Especially with those trailers that have those angled guides welded on.
Her jumping up on the dolly, any safety person would have a issue with that. If she needs to carry a step stool then she should.LtlAnonymous Thanks this. -
Always let the equipment do the work. I'm not cranking that back box up, I'm either rolling the wheels forward by hand, or I'm attaching a safety chain or two to pull it out.
Of course, that could've been avoided by just not pushing the dolly under the box, but...hey, we've all done it at some point. -
well, criticism aside, i certainly DO NOT miss pulling doubles.
so happy my last few jobs, there was only 1 trailer to hook up to and pull.LtlAnonymous Thanks this.
