It's not aluminum anyway. Aluminum don't flex like they do going down the road.

Nothing beats sleeping in on a Saturday. Coffee on the deck, then maybe mosey on into town and pickup a few things and keep chipping away at the projects until the rain starts again. Then I guess start on the indoor stuff.

100%. Once you've settled in on a career path and start moving up in pay/experience its very hard to make a career change.

I think a big part of it is getting acustomed to a certain lifestyle or quality of life. Once you get tied down with a mortgage and/or other payments it makes it a lot harder to want to start over on the bottom rung of the ladder again. Probably even worse if you've got a family to support and you're the primary earner.

I hope I wasn't painting the LP program at dsv as a get rich quick scheme, it's the furthest thing from that. Simply wanted to reach out to another young person like me and highlight an opportunity to learn the business. Which is what I always saw it as. It's incredibly hard to be successful in this business no matter where ur at

pretty cool Schnabel dolly set up for that blade.

the euros have some they have been running for a while, a company called Doll is the one I remember.

I haven’t run one but it seems there would be some sketchy parts for sure.
And no they are not made out of aluminum- inside there are aluminum hatches and landings and such - but that seems
Like a pain in the ### to liberate

When I left it was $1.04/mile. All miles. Plus FSC for all loaded miles. But they have had another raise since then.

You still run through dispatch. But you dictate. My dispatcher knew not to send me to the NE and Chicago. He also knew I wanted long loads. I also had the inside track with the south TX planner. So if I was in his area. He'd give me first choice on all his loads.

I had done him a few favors during the storm that shut down the power and windmills. Which he added bonus pay for on top of the layover. So he knows he can count on me in a bind and gave me his cell number.

You can work with the planners, too. Which I did as well. But if you have a dispatch working for you. Yup not the other way around. I put him to good use. So I could avoid sitting. There were a couple of times that I had sat at first. But I got him on track for me.
