Since cops can stop your commercial vehicle with no “reasonable suspicion “ and search your commercial vehicle with no “ probable cause “
in a regular passenger vehicle ,when a cop asks “you don’t mind if we take a look around do you ?”
Your reply should be either “in order to consider your request , please clearly articulate your probable cause “
or
“I do not consent to searches “

Both my daughter and son-in-law have go-pro cameras on their dash ( a gift from me to both). The way they have them mounted the camera can be swung around easily. You ALWAYS should record any and all contact with a cop. It is amazing how much a cop gets "religion" when they see the person filming them. This can be very important when "probable cause" is being discussed. Once a cop articulates to you that they have established probable cause if you take any action other than comply you can catch other charges. Also, about filming! Almost all cops have body cams today. You can FOIA that footage, but I advise against it. Most police depts charge a lot of money for it. I recommend you not do a FOIA for it, but go to court and get a subpoena duces tecum that specifies that footage by date and time. This way if you need the footage it generally won't cost you anything.
Many years ago I served a county Sheriff with a subpoena duces tecum for one of his deputy's video. I defended myself pro se in a jury trial and won. The deputy was a Richard and I found it funny that about 30 days later his name was not on the Sheriff's dept website as a deputy. I guess he either quit or was fired.MartinFromBC Thanks this. -
Back in the middle 90s one of the drivers that drove for the same company I did was sitting at a bus station in a very rural area in NC. It was in the early morning hours. He was waiting on a bus to take him to Charlotte to pick up a working Tractor. He was robbed at gunpoint and killed in cold blood. They never found who it was that did it. Violent crime happens in the rural areas of the US too. It just happens more in the urban areas because there are more people.

CA's strategy to reduce crime is to stop arresting and prosecuting criminals.silverspur and nredfor88 Thank this. -
If you aren't an accountant you can't complain about taxes?
If you aren't a petroleum engineer you can't complain about gas prices?
If you aren't a traffic engineer you can't complain about roads and traffic?
Californians know CA is terrible and getting worse, the population of CA is shrinking, even with illegals and homeless welcomed with open arms.
