There's only one thing better than burning diesel while driving around America making money, and that thing is to be burning diesel while driving around America NOT making money. Now I could probably research this on the Internet, but all I'm going to get is the opinion of a bunch of bloggers with man buns, and who knows this country better than truckers?

So you know those places like the big ball of yarn, Old Faithful, stops on Rt 66, etc. Looking for that kind of thing, and some crappy single-story motels to stay at. Then I can map this stuff, and try to string something together. Getting close to the beginning of the school year, but I think I can still make something happen.

Any recommendations appreciated. Me, wife, and two kids 15 and 14.

Origin - San Antonio, TX. We're also from Grand Junction, CO so I'm not super interested in places around the passes. Ouray, Silverton, Breckinridge, etc. Really looking for stuff like Billy the Kid's grave, for example.

    Looking at maybe August 8 - 14.

Do you have directions? I feel like if I get on the interstate going either direction, I won't be able to locate it.

It’s not hard to find, just follow the signs to Wall, SD. They have like 1739 of them around the world.
