Oh by the way you always have a choice. Dont except a load you cannot legally deliver to start, and take the equipment to the nearest company yard, tell them you have a personal emergency and move on.
Is this legal undeliverable forced load?

I would have refused it, and I would have dared them to “fine” me. And made it clear that I know how to contact the DOT.
And then I’d ask Chinatown to recommend my next employer!Bean Jr. Thanks this. -

I've spoke to a couple different drivers in the past year that both worked for less than reputable companies. They said that when they run outta hours they are directed to make a phone call to some service the company uses. Somehow they go over their logs an create new available hours for them when they're outta hours or can't make a run legally with a ten hour break. Totally illegal but there are those out there getting by with it.

Here’s the harsh reality they did not force you to do a #### thing you chose to. You are every bit as guilty as the company. They threatened you with loss of employment.....which your gonna have anyway. Again another choice you made. The time to do something is before....stand your ground. If your a competent hand you know you’ll have a better job before end of business that day. Since you complied and now are looking for info to get the carrier in “trouble” that speaks for itself. If you didn’t want to run it you shouldn’t have, since you did well you should answer for it too as you obviously know the hours of service regulations.
