Sorry you feel that way but don't attempt to speak for the rest of us, a person can only speak for themself.

In the dump truck biz....I know of a few semi-retired drivers in their 70's....
    They drive/work when they want....Just because you're 70, doesn't mean you're dead.....

    Double L Thanks this.

Did you even read the story?

Try reading the story before spouting off ##### comments ... :biggrin_25510:

Lets just hope someone has more consideration for you - if you're ever in trouble or die on the road ...

Of course I did. Ok, I was a little sarcastic with you, but my question remains the same.
What, exactly, should he have done besides driving off?
It's not as if they were at the driver's home. It sounded as if he may have been illegally parked

That's not what the DOT employee said ...

Yes you will leave eventually ... but after police reports, contacting the company - and just maybe - the persons family?

But hey ... it's been said here B4 - it's everyone for themselves I guess.

Maybe this lady expresses it differently. I still don't understand what you expect.

It seems to me that the partner might have been in shock. What a horrible thing to wake up to! And what else could he do? He is probably from out of state just like the man who died, and so most likely he just wants to get back home where he can have some privacy, a friendly shoulder to lean on, and possibly some time to grieve. What else could he do but go on? Get a hotel room and sit there alone? What point would there be? It is not like this is something he would have planned for ahead of time.

No matter what happens, or what you do, there is always somebody who feels qualified to "Monday morning quarterback," what was done. Someone reads a story in the paper, or hears it on TV, and makes a decision. After all, we all KNOW that the media ALWAYS reports EVERYTHING, from EVERY angle.:biggrin_25513:

When has the media reported ANYTHING close to the truth other then what thier bosses in big offices tell them to say to keep the attention of views to get higher reviews........

But seriously this is a sad story and hope that i would be wise enough to know when its my time to protect those around me i don't know instead of just hammering down and go for the high score in road rage bumper car...
