Well, let's see....@Dennixx....chime in, please...if you disagree...or have observed otherwise:
    1. It's nights, weekends, and holiday work (when you start out with them)--tough shifts, especially for newbies. It's a long time, in many cases, before you get access to anything close to a "normal" workday. Most up-and-coming drivers now don't have the moxie for it.
    2. Upper management and/or the safety depts at the cryo suppliers/producers are simply too anal about safety--you can apparently be fired even for simple, one-time infractions.
    3. Here's another one--I'm seeing that, in at least some cases, some of the fuel haulers are making more money that the cryo crowd. That's a problem I've noticed in my area of the "deep south". :(

Well while I was at Linde before there merger with Praxair. They would hire someone without experience about every 2 or 3 months.

But while at Airgas, they would hire anyone asap.

And now that Air Products has driver facing cameras. I hear from the guys that haven't quit. That AP will take whom ever they can get.

However to me starting with a cryo company is far better than Schneider. Or any other unorganized rinky dink OTR tanker company that doesn't really teach anything.

Saw an ad in Phoenix for Airgas and new cdl school grads.
    The ad isn't there now.
I've seen that in several locations across the USA, but they don't stay long.

Air Products won’t hire you unless you have 3 years of driving experience. But they do hire if you don’t have tanker experience, they will train you.

    Dennixx Thanks this.
