I've looked around a bit online for a pre trip inspection sheet to fill out for a pre trip on a front load discharge concrete mixer, but have yet to find one. We've been using a regular pre trip inspection form, and alternating it to fit our needs. Does anyone have a link or a PDF file for what I am looking for?

I thought a pre-trip was a pre-trip was a pre-trip. Regardless of what type vehicle you are pre-tripping. Are you saying there is a special form for front loading mixers?

Operators manual has a checklist. Or mine did, anyways....
Add that to the standard Pre trip. -
We had a load sheet. Told what time we went under batch. What time we left. Arrived and washout. Then depart.

I drive a rear discharge mixer but its just like any other truck with add ons like mixer gearbox oil, hydraulic oil, drum rollers, checking the chute ram and hooks holding the chutes on as well as tag axles and the PTO shafts.. ALSO being a concrete guy it doesnt hurt once a week or 2 to check the inside of the barrel if you can.

Not all trucks are the same. We have different things we check on tankers that you wouldn't check on flatbeds. You adapt the extra steps into your pre-trip and post-trip that would affect the safe operation or breakdown of the vehicle. We used the same form for both because we went into more detail than needed just to be safe. But the only report needed is the post-trip. You can check the FMCSR §396.11 for the minimum required items to check on the post-trip and §392.7 for pre-trip.
prisonerofthehwy Thanks this.
