The moment I asked instructor to stop screaming at me, be calm and do not confuse me with bumping on the frikkin dashboard while I'min the middleofintersection, he walked to the manager room and reported me as an unsafe driver!!
They already didn't like me having NV license with CA address and choice of terminal so they made an excuse and sent me home in the last day of 2 week training!!
I was considering leaving anyway after I saw they literally don't give a f about what happened to my car in hotel parking and want me back in the class asap like nothing major happened but I made a mistake of staying there for the second week too.
I'll never approach any big carrier ever again. Now I understand what it mean when people say you are just a number there.

He was full of bs and 100% against what we learned in cdl school (turn left wide, stay in slowest lane until being straight)
I was still ok to do it his way but it needed to be done much slower than wide turn all the way so the tail of trailer doesn't go over median or hit cars waitingin my left. Nope! he wanted it fast, sharp and within a tolerance of only 1 foot from median, not more!!
He was failing to teach a proper parking and I finally learned from YouTube, so I was not even sure about if he is right or clear about what he wants.Last edited: Aug 6, 2022

Welp, you get whatchu pay for I suppose, I'm glad I went to a CDL school instead of one of these companies. It's a different incentive structure and power dynamic if you're the customer vs. someone who dug their own grave signing a contract they are desperate to fulfill.
You've come this far and survived all this nonsense you might as well stick it out at this point and just deal with this guy and try to be polite, even if he's being a dick because you're just gonna make it worse by doubling the negative energy of the situation. Do the turn how he wants you to do it, don't argue, fight or ##### about it, you know he's gonna yell at you just mentally prepare for it and try to ignore it.
And keep in mind that you aren't the only one who's struggling with the heat and getting frustrated, emotions run hot when the temperature runs hot, be the grown up who's aware of it, take control and try to have a positive attitude and don't complain because that isn't getting you anywhere and all you have to do right now is focus on surviving and getting through it. If you can do that you might make it as a trucker, because this is not gonna be the last time you'll have to deal with unreasonable people who have power over you and you have be able to shrug it off and move onto the next thing.

They couldn't afford a decent hiring and training, they shouldn't hire or at least they should be clear in the interview.
I had absolutely zero reason to settle for their poor treatment and instructors verbal abuse.
Actually sticking to it was my mistake!
After first week and seeing boot camp style treatment, lack of useful training and management hiding from me since reporting the hit and run incident in the hotel, I was considering leaving as it did seem a good place to work or be around but I stayed.
At end of second week when I told Mr Darr__ that he needs to stop screaming and stay calm, because I am here to learn stuff from him not the YouTube, he reported me right away to the management as an unsafe driver and because they already were unhappy with my out of state driver license (NV license and my choice of terminal in California), they sent me home. Their policy is always testing trainee with a second instructor first to see the issues but they already made their decision.
It was my first experience dealing with mostly veteran (marine) workplace and it was really bad and I lost my respect to them entirely.Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
I hope you find a place and make it, but if you think you have been treated badly now wait until you get to your first shipper or receiver.
