This is serious business, most of the industry is mashing the panic button because the end is nigh. We’re all going to be ruined. People losing their minds over the future of the industry. And then we have this dude here, on tour with his golf clubs, fishin’ stick and two wheeled self torture device. Carrying on like Graham Kerr at the roadside somewhere. I’m pretty sure he only takes a little freight with him ‘cause he’s going there anyway. That’s ####ing awesome. At least somebody is still out there having some fun at this.

I have a Cat D7 3T here on the ranch that gets used quite a bit. As nearly as I can tell it was one of the last ones built...early fifties...with a hand crank pony motor. That thing will bust your arm if you do it wrong. Dad bought it from Diamond Match's timber division back in the late 60s and about the only thing original is the data plate. We rebuilt everything else over the years. Cable blade and a Hyster winch. There's not much it won't pull.
I usually run it myself 'cause people who even know how to start one are getting to be few and far between.


EDIT...The 7 used to have an electric start pony motor but when it wore out Dad replaced it with a hand crank. No idea why. He cussed that thing every time he used it. As do I.

 

You talking about a 184 like this one? These were built from 1977 to 1980. Mine pictured here is a 77 model. They had the optional R-1 rear tread design as well….

 

The Cub LoBoy set close to the ground, unlike its brother the Cub. The A, B, Cub, Cub LoBoy shared a lot of similarities, and were older models than the 184. But there were Cubs with newer (square) sheet metal up in to the 70’s….

 

Our local golf course had 2 international diesel tractors to pull gang mowers. B275 if my memory is correct.

Do you remember when the little Economy was a common sight mowing the grounds at the pickle parks? They too were replaced with more modern machines, I have to wonder if these more modern machines will be seen at tractor shows 60 years from now lol…..
