I'm having some issues with my def system. My truck went into derate and i had to get towed in to stoops freightliner and after they went thru everything, They found nothing wrong. Paid almost $700 for a complete check and no repairs. Went 2 weeks and ran into the same problem. Limped into FYDA in Columbus and they are telling me the same thing. Complete check but no repairs. I don't trust this as i feel as though something is wrong or causes this problem.
I have a 2017 Cascadia with about 550k on the motor. I've owned since 500k and as far as i know, nothing has been repaired in the def system. I've tried to force regens from the dash button and at times it doesn't regen. The truck does regen after a long idle period. My def gauge does indicate filter percentage and nothing alarming from that indicator. Any advice or leads will be helpful.

DEF issues or DPF issues? While interconnected, separate systems. Let's see the repair orders.

That might be the case.
Some people replace it.
Some claim it can be cleaned and reused.
There may be be some videos on the net.
Good luck.spsauerland and biopure22 Thank this. -
