Our terminal is in Tucker. Would be nice if a mobile service could come in for minor repairs, DOT insp, etc.

    baha Thanks this.

If you know of any rental parking nearby, duck thru on a Saturday morning and you're bound to see one or two. Walk up and ask, or get the name/phone off the door of their vehicle and call later. Ask anyone nearby who they use.

I have used a more commercial outfit for some last minute annual DOT inspection a couple years back, but looking them up now, I see they were a franchise, and the location I used is no longer in that franchise.

The franchise Advanced Maintenance has a location near SW ATL that might offer service in your area. I think I got a quote for PM service and it was reasonable - in line with pricing you'd get from a retail repair shop, except they come to you. If memory serves, they don't charge extra for on-site work, provided you set it up at least a day or two in advance. They may have changed, it's been a couple years.

The one I used last time is now Prescott Fleet Services. Might be the same people that were there under the Advanced signage last time, or not. I have no idea. They're in old Norcross, so more than likely would service Tucker. Seemed alright, but it's kind of hard to screw up a DOT. They didn't go on a witch hunt to gin up repair business, so that's a plus. They have a small shop for some repair work, but didn't seem equipped for bigger jobs. You'd just have to call and ask.

Dealers also offer this, at least mine does. Obviously much more limited scope, as they'll want to get the truck in their shop whenever possible, which isn't a bad thing IMO. Since dealing with the other two outfits I mentioned, I have traded into new Macks. Nextran offers mobile maintenance, seems like it wasn't crazy priced compared to going into the shop. Their Duluth location is 3 miles from where I park, so I just go in during hometime and catch an uber back to my pickup for about $10 + tip. Like the other ones, you have to schedule it in advance, and either give them a key and have an account open, or meet them and pay COD.

    RubyEagle and 062 Thank this.
