I've been reading posts on this website for a week or so now. Not knowing a thing about the trucking industry, and reading the posts from new students in training, with the big companies that will hire them has me wonderin what the heck I've gotten into. The pendulum seems to swing wide from love it, to hate it.
I sure would like to hear from a few of y'all that have positive input with companies that you like. I know the world isn't all roses, but I like to keep a positive attitude going through this experience.

Good afternoon J.B.B and welcome! What you've said is an echo of what I was saying to myself a few months ago when I joined the forum. I've spent enough time reading posts to know that the pendulum also swings through some middle ground. There are members here who love trucking but have gotten into a bad situation or have gotten with a company that was not a good fit for them. The ones that admit they had something to do with the bad situation or the bad fit are the ones I pay close attention to. They have enough character to see their own shortcomings or mistakes. J.B.B., bottom line is that there are good situations and good fits out there. I'm a wannabe so I haven't experienced this first hand but I'm sure you'll find your "spot" if you keep your expectations in check. Good luck and continue searching through posts. Ask a lot of questions and you'll soon see that there are many, many members here that will go out of their way to help you make good decisions!road dust and kickin chicken Thank this.

Hello and Welcome

If you would like, start a thread under, "Trucking Schools", so that you can post about your experiences in training.
