    Mostly the salt and calcium chloride they spray on the roads in winter would be my guess. Can't rot the frame as easily if it can't get trapped between the rails.

    I can tell you a little about hauling logs in northern California and southern Oregon. It's a lot like other kinds of vocational driving, people either love it or they hate it.
