Not that I can remember. Again the difference between speeding and reckless is also where and under what conditions. There might be a policy in place about construction or school zones. As far as a blanket set MPH over I can't see that anywhere in 46.2. Notice my wording. I can't see it. I will tell you the exact same thing I said to @tscottme earlier. If there is something in the Va code I missed I am man enough to admit I was wrong.

@4wayflashers .....
Yes I believe he is right, there is signs saying 10mph and over is reckless driving in Virginia. No I didnt read the codes or anything, just going by the signs I see on the interstate.Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
Never try and bribe a California Police Officer....you will end up in jail for attempting to bribe a government official. This is not New Jersey!!jamespmack, wore out and Another Canadian driver Thank this.

Those signs should have the governing code section on them. I am going to speak to a Trooper that lives near me about this later.
4wayflashers, Another Canadian driver and nikmirbre Thank this. -
wait, after thinking about it, does the sign not say "above 80 mph is reckless driving"??
Edit to add: And I believe they passed a law 2 years ago the the threshold has been raised to 85 instead of 80.Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
OK, the phone call is finished. I should have looked closer. There are two sections that people driving in Virginia should be aware of.
§ 46.2-861. Driving too fast for highway and traffic conditions.
A person shall be guilty of reckless driving who exceeds a reasonable speed under the circumstances and traffic conditions existing at the time, regardless of any posted speed limit.
§ 46.2-862. Exceeding speed limit.
A person is guilty of reckless driving who drives a motor vehicle on the highways in the Commonwealth (i) at a speed of 20 miles per hour or more in excess of the applicable maximum speed limit or (ii) in excess of 85 miles per hour regardless of the applicable maximum speed limit.

California Police are no different from any where else. It was sorta a joke sorta not. You get signals believe that or not. Common sense says it’s never a good idea. I have paid my fine in cash several times several places. Once not long ago.PoleCrusher, jamespmack, Bumper and 1 other person Thank this.

I had someone try and bribe me and I put her butt in jail. Her husband then came down to the station and tried to buy her freedom. When they both went to court they tried to do the same with the Judge handling their case. Six months each.Another Canadian driver Thanks this.
