Dallas is my old stomping ground. You live in a good place for trucking. Not all regulated like Kalifornia!

marten sent me packing today because i had to back up in a super tight turn did nothing wrong, and further more i did not do any thing that a CDL driver would not do on any other regular day or day to day operations

Sorry to hear that! At least you didn't get fired with a ding on your DAC. I may be moving back to DFW myself as I can't get back to work here in SD. I have something working with USA Truck right now.

i have been working for marten transport for 2 1/2 years and tried to quit because of miles.they talked me out of it and put me on regional where im home ever 7-10 days.they are going paperless logs in june(not too crazy about that).they are not a bad company to work for but they are very strict in all areas.service failure gets you 6months probation, falsifying your log book gets you 1 year probation, not having near 100 psi in your tires will get you fired.you need to cover your butt with this company.they can be very rude to you at times, just need to know how to deal with that.no more idle bonus and missed hometime pay.$25 for layover your first day and $100 for every day after that, has to be in 24 hr increments so if you are sitting for 47 hrs lets say you will only get $25 which really sucks.you will not get big runs often you will be nickled and dimed to death.

So did they tell you why you failed the road test? It is straight out of the FMCSA hand book so if you did it like you where tested at school there is no problem.

this is a perfect example of why this thread belongs under "Report a bad trucking company here"

It's funny how so many big co's start out in the Favorite section and after you read it for awhile, the thread devolves to a Bad company.

no they did not tell me what i did wrong but the instructor agreed with the action that i took in the turn and said he would have done the same thing and further more he said that he has done the same thing that i did at the specific turn where it happen.

but also he said it was not his call it was the man on top
