    A blessing in disguise.

Requirements for Prime include a high tolerance for abuse and a willingness to bend over and take it repeatedly.

Vic Firth and lual Thank this.

Check out Wilson Logistics. You'll pull freight in a PRIME trailer, but have better office support.

I think ChinaTown also mentioned CFI hires "students", meaning needs CDL school and a job. Maybe you can check out each of his suggestions in the thread in the CDL school section. A quick phone call asking if they hire from Maine and provide CDL school.

About 1/3 to 1/2 of the companies that hire brand new CDL holders also offer Tuition Reimbursement which would usually repay the CDL school loan, if you had to get the license before getting hired. I don't borrow money, but getting a loan to learn a new job is one of the few good reasons to borrow money. But I did get a loan at the CDL school and my first company paid so much per week or month in addition to the wages I earned that I put toward paying off the CDL school loan. There is a way to make this happen.

I went with Prime (company driver) as a starter because I specifically wanted to go reefer...a little over a month solo now and it's been fine. As long as you deliver on time they leave you alone to do your job...they leave plenty of time on loads so it's not hard to make it to appts without rushing. Always a pre-plan for the next load when you deliver, it's true when people say reefer never stops.

I went to CDL school through a veteran program so I can't speak to coming in directly through PSD, but feel free to message if you have any general Prime questions. Overall for me it's been so far so good.

Check out Millis transfer. If you have any questions I'd be more than happy as I'm on my last leg of training and pick up my truck this week
