Don't use them. Get your own customers. Problem solved.

I am an owner op and TQL hold the account for Giant Food of Landover here in Maryland. Giant only deals with brokers direct. I first started running for TQL about 5 years ago. And we were getting $90/hr on a 8 hour minimum anytime were we called in to work. Then it went to a 10 hour minimum, and we finally complained enough to get $95/hr which is where we are now. The guy who runs the account last name Grissom. After all there years I know I work at least 800-900 days on that account how much do you think they have stolen from me in that time?

He tells us that he only get $110/hr per truck TQL send up there but I highly doubt that. At one point TQL was sending 60-80 trucks a day up there now its more like 20 trucks a WEEK if they are lucky.

Why do you haul for them if you think they're stealing from you?

Maybe stealing from wasn't the right analogy to use, over the years I have spoke with people who worked that account for different brokers in the early 2000s and they said back then they were getting $95/hr so 20+ years later I believe that rate should definitely be higher than $95/hr. So maybe stealing isn't the word but how much are they withholding or lining their pockets with they really should be coming to me.

So I guess they are not stealing from me, they pay me what the rate con says.

I think conceptually carriers and brokers dont have the slightest clue what each other actually does.
