I would stay away from us xpress. They use mostly automatics and it would be a good idea to learn to run through the gears.

You probably already know this but SEA scores are like golf scores! Safety has always been important to professional drivers, but, in the Year of CSA 2010, it's going to become increasingly important to "pseudo-pros" too! I'm a wannabe and I'm anxious to get out there but I'll hang tight until I can get with a carrier that's not going to get "targeted" for inspections. It's tough to get miles and deliver on time when you're sitting at a weigh stations or on the side of the highway chatting with an SI. Just my $0.01 worth. I'll jack it up to $0.02 worth when I'm a newbie and know it all!:biggrin_25523:

Both have pros and cons. I know for a fact unless your state has idling restrictions or you are at a yard, US will let you idle your truck. I have SNI does not allow this. USX biggest customers are Fed Ex and UPS (they just got some of their SE freight).

Don't limit yourself to 2 companies. Get as many prehires as possible.

Make som phone calls! What about Roehl?
