I've hauled oil around alot of places in Wyoming. Never hauled around Gillette though. Wright is the farthest I've been north in Wyoming. Anybody got any insight on the area?

What about offload points. I use to drop off at 59 lact there north of wright. Curious if there was any up by Gillette? How many loads you can expect, terrain, descent shops, etc?

Don't do oil. There's definitely a lot of action around Gillette though.

There's a town called Reno Junction south of there that's basically a small oil boom town. WHY-OH-MING is second only to Texas for oil.

Lots of oil, and sand guys there. Have been recruited twice by guys that honcho sand haulers just while watching TV at The J.

Thanks for the reply. I always enjoyed working in Wyoming and made good money doing it. Boss was thinking of sending some trucks up soon. There busy enough he asked me to pick which area. Never worked around Gillette so figure I may give that area a go

I’ve been in the ND patch for 13 years, but I just spent a week down in Wyoming hiking in the wind river range, and was some of the best hiking I’ve done, as good as glacier. Passed through Casper and Gillette on the way home and can confirm there was a lot of oil work. Would love to get down there but I got 5 years left on my house mortgage and I’m not sure it’s worth changing houses in this market so ill unfortunately stay here in ND

It's pretty tough conditions in the winter.

    For sure
    For sure about the winter's.
Hauled in Wyoming for 5 winter's along with pulling loads out of the Rockies in Colorado. You're going to get real good with chaining up. That's for sure

Late to the party on a dead thread but, I'm in GIllette. If you have any specific questions I might be able to help. You're spot on about getting good at chaining up. That's all I seemed to do during school.
