It’s just the tip of the iceberg, just this week alone there have been several big acquisitions as well. Some industry experts are predicting a “bloodbath” as far as company failures and closings.

Yesterday I heard about 2 guys fighting over a $1.80 load..
Second month of negative numbers and are not sustainable for companies w heavy top weight, let alone individual operators.

It's not like it was unusual for trucking companies to go out of business, get bought out, or combine with other carriers. I think we're just more aware of it now.
Looking at the history of this industry it's apparent that it's always changing.

Saw my first 39xxxxx DOT number today coming out of Chicago.
    I'm sure I'll see a 4xxxxxx number soon.

    mjd4277 and REO6205 Thank this.

    Yea and no…
truckings changed so much that there is no other part of the 100 year history to compare to today. We had horses and sail boats for all of world history before.

The writing was on the wall 2 years ago. It’s worse then 2008, The economies bad and going to get a lot worse.
