Well, last big outing before the yellow wagons hit the road, my son starts university, and my daughter starts high school. Definitely feeling old.
This is box canyon, headwaters of the cardinal river. 7143'. My son's XR wasn't happy so I rode my wife's quad, and he rode my XL250 Screenshot_20220825-184242_Gallery.jpg Screenshot_20220825-184304_Gallery.jpg Screenshot_20220825-184342_Gallery.jpg . Gotta love a few spots on earth..

I drove one for about a year....2012. When it looked like a trash fire out the exhaust from a stop, you knew the shop was the next stop. I've "heard" once they are altered that they are a pretty solid engine. Their downfall was a woefully undersized EGR Cooler if memory serves me right.

    Yes.
    We own a maxxforce Dt.
That buses nickname was "not for profit"
Now that its "fixed" and inframed (@247k) its been great. It now has over 400k on it and Its the one I drive.
The maxx 7 v8s were brutal as well.
    Just say no.
Apparently after "fixing" a maxx 13, the dealer says they are great. But what a pain in a goat's hind end to work on.

Too small of a cooler for what they were trying to do with it. They were trying to meet Nox standards without def. Some of the dealer techs I talked to said under certain conditions they breathed in 60% EGR. Hard to live eating their own poop.
    Even the city deleted theirs.
It's criminal what binder did to customers in that era.

Only thing I ever drove with International power was a 7600 with an HT570 and 10 speed. Thing was a royal B###H to shift. It picked up and lost RPM so quickly.

Ht530 and ht570 are Dts. Same block at the Dt466s. Just more cubes. I often wish for a 6+1, but really it's a great motor with an allison
