One of my work friend's daughters wants to switch from bus driver to CDL-A. Do you know of any CDL schools I could recommend that would fast track someone with previous pro driving experience? I don't know anything about driver schools around Indy. I thought Sage was there, but it doesn't look like it.

Ivy Tech I believe has a CDL program with them. I'm looking forward to going to trucker school in Indy as well.

I live literally 5 minutes from Cambridge City Indiana's terminal for DOT Foods. They are a good company. I figure if I wanted to drive regional or OTR I would pick DOT no problem. I know a few DOT workers and they generally love the work. I have an interview for a company that will pay me a wage during school and I can be home every night! They deliver construction trailers. They are Mobile Mini. They have good reviews and bad reviews. I figure if I get my CDL and experience then I can truly pick what I want in life.

I've heard of Mobile Mini but don't know anything about it, except they help get a CDL.

They started a Driver Apprenticeship program I believe just this year or last year. The recruiter said it's all local runs. You meet up with the construction people at the construction site and ask where they want the trailer and then you drop it and go. You also go and retrieve the trailers as well. They offer $48k base pay with skiffs and other bonuses getting you up to $60k your first year. No weekends. I'm a nurse right now and it's hard to find a good-paying job that makes you work only Monday through Friday unless you are management or working in the clinic. I'm not management material. The pandemic of 2020 has really screwed my desire to be a long career-oriented nurse. I'm an LPN so the most I've ever made per hour is $27. I'm currently making $24.50 an hour. At this time in my life, I have no desire to go for my RN.
