I have the Big Dawg Sleepdog mattress and love it. It doesn’t trap heat and it’s firm imo. I’ve also had a Casper mattress and it worked good too. But the Sleepdog one can be sized to take every inch of available space.

I tried cheaper ones and they trap heat or get super hard when it’s cooler and super soft when it’s warmer.

I haven’t no. But memory foam should be best because it will keep you from rolling during braking and accelerating.

I’ve got a purple3. It’s great. I don’t use it in the truck anymore. Driving a Volvo that came with a mattress almost as good.

I have a 12” thick gel foam. Bought the twin xl and used an electric carving knife to cut to exact size.

Factory mattresses are okay as long as they haven't been used or "reconditioned". :D

I tried one of those frilly, colorful, pool (not Billiards) "mattresses".
It's no good for Team driving unless one loves to hear consistent whining and threats, yet works reasonably well for Solo.
Not real good in Fall or Spring when driving with the windows and vents open as it travels.
Might be why that "net" is good securement, but some trucks were missing it as well on bottom bunks.
Also, forget filling those mattresses with Helium, unless "secured" with Bungee Straps or string in Driver Overhead.
NO SMOKING especially when upon mattress in "unsecured" mode.o_O

Might help explain some "weird truck fires". :(

As To Post 1, I usually let a Sleep Dog alone.

The Original Mattress factory is the only mattress i like. You can make it firmer or softer and the quality is wonderful.

You gotta watch out with certain mattresses, I know a lot of those mail ones that come compressed are filled with shredded fiberglass and will destroy EVERYTHING you get it on. Look it up online, if you even unzip one of those you’ll be in a world of problems. I’ve heard of people having to throw everything in their house away including tearing up the carpet after opening one
