Good morning JCT drivers. Just wanted a little info on your company. How much money, if any, do you need to start out?
I've read quite a few posts here and most of you seem to be pretty happy with your L/P contracts and the amount of miles you're getting.
Any feed back on JTC (good I hope) will be appreciated.
    Thanks and stay safe.

18months or more current OTR experience is all you need to get started. This is one of the best companies out there when it comes to comparing the L/P plan and the operations. Like many of us said many times its not for everybody. If you're willing to work hard u should be able to make a good living here.

    Mdbluecrab Thanks this.

Thanks for the reply Alan. I'm seriously thinking about this. I know you shouldn't go into something like this with an empty wallet, I'm just trying to figure how much to stuff my wallet to get started.
I've always been a company driver and I've been contemplating this move for several years. Seems like now is the time to take the plunge. I figured that I would pop a bunch of questions at you guys (and gals) before talking to any recruiter, so as to get a feel for what's expected and what to expect.

Make sure you put up enough to cover your expenses for at least two weeks. That will cover your week at orientation and the first week you start running. Then you should be bringing in money again by the third week. Recruiting right now I think is backed up all the way yo like april or may. So I would reccomend if you do decide to make the move go ahead and make the call and you'll still have several months to consider b4 the actual change.

Will do Alan and thanks. I'll use you you as a referral (50% of $1200.00 is what? lol), that's if you don't mind. It's better that you get the money than some recruiter.

    Alanp613 Thanks this.

They feed you when your in class. Then if you need to you can get 3 $50 advances once your under a load.

Your first few checks will replenish what you spend because you will have no truck payments due. As far as stuffing my wallet, my wife makes sure that doesn't happen. ;)

you can just buy me a nice slice of apple pie once you get here. lol
