Lawyer is handling from here.
I was on location, and did all i was willing. Pics show they removed part of the pipe.
No BOL. This was a "blind" load. Not sure exactly what that means, but broker requested i make a BOL from a different location.

I am going to try a place called Fleet Services which is by the airport(I mean like 10’ from the airport) their website lists wheel seals. I am trying not go more than 300 miles I have already gone. The hub is not getting warm and the drum and shoes are still dry. It is not my trailer, just a loaner. I am not enjoying my time in the northwest, when I finish this project - I am likely never returning.
now we are down for a week because Oregon has restricted I-84 for the two days before the holiday and then closed 4 days for the holiday.
Plus the grapevine says someone dropped a blade in the middle of 84 between Dirkee and Huntington
so surely Oregon will come with some additional ridiculous restriction making this project even more ####ed.Tug Toy, pete781693, singlescrewshaker and 12 others Thank this. -
Darn, all this bad road and it is only Tuesday. Hang in there, Friday is coming.

Blind loads - I've done a few, and always double check every detail with the broker since the ratecon trumps everything when it comes to getting paid.
You can have Blind shipment, blind receiver, or a double blind.
In a blind shipment, the shipper (A) thinks they sold to receiver (B), but in reality, "Shifty Earl" made up/owns receiver (B) and is acting as Shipper (C) to his customer, receiver (D). Earl doesn't want shipper (A) to know who receiver (D) is, because then A would sell to D and then Earl wouldn't be able to skim his cut.
Blind on both ends. D doesn't know of A, and A doesn't know of C. Earl just doesn't want D to think he's involved, so Earl (B) has Hank (C) sell it to D. Sometimes you'll have to stop off at Hank's to have the load taken off, relabeled, and reloaded before you can deliver to D. It even gets more complicated when Earl doesn't even want Hank to know about A. I almost took one of those as a partial, but the trip fell through because the OTHER partial to fill my trailer was a little too risky lol. I don't typically go looking for this stuff, it just happens sometimes when I answer my phone.
In your experience, I'd wager jokingly that receiver (D) hates the arseholes at shipper (A) and refused to buy from them, so they called.... Earl lol. Either way, welcome to the s***show.
I think my fuse would have lit when they took some back off and then refused to finish. If it wasn't lit then, it would have been when they copped the attitude. It's a lot of pipe, but I think I'd have enough anger to get it all rolled off the side of the trailer and I'd be headed home empty.Tug Toy, pete781693, cke and 12 others Thank this. -
WOW — the arrogant prick that I am would make me want to find a way to unload in the front door of his office with the DB sitting at his deskTug Toy, pete781693, cke and 9 others Thank this.

Is there really that much money in freight that u can have that many middle men ? Seems crazy to me . but at the same time nothing surprises me in this industry. Leave it to a broker to make moving #### from point a to point b as complicated as a rocket launch.Tug Toy, cke, singlescrewshaker and 10 others Thank this.

Shady business practices make the world go round. So this "Blind" thing in freight doesn't surprise me.
The sales rep where I used to work did the following on the regular:
Customer needed say, 300 feet of 18" HDPE Culvert. He'd base the quote and sale price on what "Vendor A" would charge. Customer would agree to that price and the pipe would get ordered...
Where it got ordered from would often be from "Vendor B" at a lower cost, but sold to customer at "Vendor A" price.
Dude did this so he would show a higher GP on the sale and therefore get more commission money in his pocket.
"Man, if I got caught doing this I'd be in a lot of trouble" -
Another block hauling day yesterday…..
